Solutions (ECS) business area is seeking a Principal Program
Quality Lead Engineer in the Tactical Air (TACAIR) Product Line.
The role will support EPAWSS Production Programs. As a Program
Quality Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring BAE Systems
builds and delivers compliant product to our customers. The role
will be involved in writing Basis of Estimate, supporting
proposals, Development, Production, Sustainment and/or
non-recurring Engineering Programs. Additional responsibilities
include support to the production build process, First Article
Inspection, as well as Quality support on Production efforts
including hardware redesign efforts due to Diminishing
Manufacturing Supply, Supplier engagement and issue resolution, and
Product Acceptance with the customer.The Program Quality Lead will
be the primary interface with the customer for audits, program
inquiries and product acceptance. Attention to detail for hardware
and documentation records play a critical part of the product
acceptance process. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and
collaborative program team environment is a must! The individual
will work closely with the Customer, Program Management Office, and
Supplier Quality teams, along with other critical functions, to
provide world-class program execution. This role will also include0
leading and mentoring Program Quality Engineers on development and
production programs in New Hampshire. Experience in program quality
will benefit you in this role.Required Education, Experience, &
Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years work
experienceUnderstanding of Quality Science tools (APQP/PPAP, 8D
RCCA, Statistical Process Controls, Lean Six Sigma, Auditing)
Self-starting problem solver with a fact-based focus on continuous
improvementUnderstands the process for Basis of Estimates and
proposalsAbility to read, interpret and understand a drawing, print
and specificationAbility to work independently and lead a team with
little to no oversightMentor Quality professionals and other
cross-functional team members to continuously improve execution
successStrong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and
proficient in Microsoft Office Applications Preferred Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline and
6+ years work experience
- Prior Quality Assurance Engineering experience
- Understanding of defense industry standards (AS9100, AS9102,
AS9145)
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production
Process Verification (PPV)
- Production Hardware and Software processing
- Program process definition and documentation
- Support to Production manufacturing
- Green Belt/ Black Belt certification
- Active secret clearance
- Familiarity with the following:
- Manufacturing of complex electronic assemblies
- Customer Requirements and flow down into program execution and
tasking
- Presentation of product to customer for acceptance/ "sell
off"
- Hardware Inspection Criteria
- Configuration Control and Hardware Configuration ReportingPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
