Position Description:The Department of Biomedical Informatics is
hiring a Financial Associate. The Financial Associate will provide
administrative and financial support to the department. The
candidate must be able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
This position will coordinate all aspects of accounts payable and
receivable for a portfolio of HMS research core facilities and will
assist in the financial management of the cores'
activities.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the
following functions:Accounts Payable:Processing and/or submitting
Purchase Orders or Payment Request requisitions;Conducting research
on and clearing up old POs and requisitions;Investigating and
resolving invoices that are on hold; assisting with setting up new
vendors;P-card review, travel reimbursements,Performing other
duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.Accounts
Receivable:Working with HMS service center administrators to
generate monthly invoices and related accounting for internal and
external customers;Ensuring any rejected invoices are reviewed and
corrected in a timely fashion;Tracking revenue;Serving as the
primary contact with Central Accounts Receivable Department (AR)
and HMS departments/cores for invoicing inquiries and troubleshoot
as required.Financial Management:Reconciling monthly financials for
all the service center accounts and non-sponsor accounts,Reviewing
discrepancies with Cores Administrators and the Director of
Finance,Assisting in other related tasks as
