Job Description:
PURPOSE:The Market Intelligence and Strategy Mgr. Sr is
responsible for designing, and directing customer and category
sales data analytics, insights, and recommendations to inform
leadership and fuel the strategic marketing plan and meet projected
revenue and profit goals. This role identifies growth opportunities
using syndicated sales data. Define KPIs, review key internal and
external data sources, and make recommendations to maximize growth.
Designs sales data research plans and models and oversees projects
through to communication and integration for strategy development
and market sizing.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Job ResponsibilitiesStrategic
Business Strategy and Sales Growth ConsultantConduct market
research, opportunity-sizing, and competitive analysis to inform
the long-term strategic direction of UNFI s business model and
offerings.Develop financial analysis to support decision-making
around growth initiatives, new product, and commercial
opportunities.Create market forecasts for UNFI s target industry
verticals and marketsLead Expert for Syndicated Data Analysis and
ManipulationMeasure, analyze, and report on factors impacting
consumer and customer behaviorCreate causal and predictive models
to determine factors driving performanceRecommend strategies,
segmentation, pricing and advertising for profitably maximizing
loyalty and sales Standardize data processing and analytical
techniques.Oversee preparation of reports and analyses that measure
performance and results, forecast market trends and monitors
external retail and wholesale results.Incorporate macro and
industry trends into everyday activities and demonstrate how these
trends influence UNFI s strategic positionDevelops business models
for current business solutionsTranslator of Insights to ActionPull
disparate pieces of data together to uncover insights and then
create concise and compelling stories to bring those insights to
life all linked to priorities to drive the businessLead the
development of dashboards and infographics so that the insights and
implications are easy to interpret and act onJOB
REQUIREMENTS:Education/ Certifications:Bachelor s Degree in
Marketing, Business Analytics and/or Sales or other job-related
fieldExperience:5-7 years equivalent business experience in
consulting, consumer insights, competitive intelligence, marketing
research preferredFamiliarity and comfort with traditional market
and consumer research sources (Nielsen, NPD, GNPD, Ipsos,
Euromonitor, Mintel, etc.)Thorough knowledge of industry trends,
opportunities, products, and competitorsSkills/ Abilities:Strong
analytical/ data interpretation skills and ability to translate
data and analysis into actionable recommendationsStrong writing,
communication, and presentation skillsAbility to influence and lead
within the organization as a functional research expert and
strategic partner Ability to anticipate stakeholders needs and
proactively outline learning plan/analytic approachAbility to
effectively present information to management and public
groupsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint;
highly proficient in Excel and or some other data visualization
softwareAble to organize, coordinate, and direct projectsPHYSICAL
ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:Most work is performed in a
temperature-controlled office environment or home
environmentIncumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or
computer terminalWhile performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle,
